About the Opportunity
Currently, Garage Living has an exciting opportunity available for a Floor Coating Installer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based out of Burnaby but there will be jobs throughout the Lower Mainland as well as occasionally Whistler and Vancouver Island. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm.
As our new Floor Coating Installer, you'll report to the Project Manager as you work to ensure the garage floor is completed on time and to our customers' satisfaction.
Your more typical responsibilities in this fast-paced role will include:
- Completing 1 garage floor per day.
- Working independently in an unsupervised environment.
- Identifying problems and troubleshooting solutions on site.
- Communicating and reporting job completion as well as any deficiencies.
- Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction by going above and beyond expectations.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace and cleaning up your work area footprint.
- Using email and taking good photos of any issues that arise or completed work.
In order to qualify for this role, you'll need a valid driver's license as well as access to a smartphone or mobile device in order to report work accurately. You'll also need the ability to lift 50lbs on your own allowing you to carry out the physical and manual aspects of this role. Previous floor coating experience is certainly an asset for this role but is not necessary to apply as we'll train you.
As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your flexible availability will ensure your success as you work to meet the needs of our clients even if that might require working longer hours on occasion. You'll also join us with a natural aptitude for excellent customer service, a can-do attitude, strong teamwork skills, and problem-solving skills.
